Village in the valley of Ponikelský brook in the foothills of Giant mountains. First mentioned in 14th century. From the Middle Age the limonit ore was mined there.
The village is famous thanks weaving and production of bijouterie. The interesting is barouque church of St. Jakub Větší from 17th century.
The natural interest are the lime caves with two 75 m length cathedrals and underground lake. Near the village is found the ski centre on the slope of mountain Homole.
